I also made it so that Teen Sims won’t receive as many points from a Trait as a Child does since their development is much farther along. Rest assured that “Evil” will net your Sim the largest amount of negative points, “Good” will net your Sim the largest amount of positive points and Hobby traits will net your Sim the least amount of CV points.
I spent a lot of time balancing all of the traits relative to one another so that the CV points they award make sense gameplay-wise. modified hidden "developing" trait strings to better reflect what they areĬharacter Value points rewarded by traits are balanced.
added whim support for those who have Basemental Mods.blacklisted Child sims from getting the Ignore Bills whim.necessary to correct an error that could occur for those who do not have GP01/Outdoor Retreat installed.separated BlockRewardsAddOn into two packages. If you have Outdoor Retreat, put both the BlockRewardsAddOn file and the BlockRewardsAddOn_GP01 file into your Mods folder. As punishment for poor parenting, certain reward traits are blocked for Sims who have Character Values in the red and Sims who have negative Character Value traits (Unfeeling, Bad Manners, etc).
CharacterValuesOverhaul_BlockRewardsAddOn.When a Sim ages up, the trait they age up with will have an impact on their current Character Values.Toddler, Child, and Teen sims with Character Values in the red will be passed a hidden trait that effects their autonomy and whims. You won’t notice a difference day-to-day. Character Values will now decay over time (very slowly).Sims will start with a random positive or negative value in each Character Value so that no two Sims will be exactly alike. All thresholds for earning Character Value Traits (Unfeeling, Compassionate, etc) have been rebalanced for better gameplay. All traits, including Toddler Traits and expansion pack Traits, will now have an impact on Character Values when a Sim is first created.
This mod corrects that and goes several steps further. Also, if a child ages up with a worrisome trait like “Evil,” their existing CVs will remain largely unchanged. Currently, only 12 traits out of the 50+ traits available to Sims have an impact on CVs. Do NOT use both. The Character Value (CV) system introduced in Parenthood is underdeveloped and hasn’t been updated in years. Use either this new mod or the other one.
I hope you all enjoy these, I have been playing around with them and am happy with the variety, but feel free to tell me if you want more aspirations in the future (Doesn't have to be university related). This is an evolution of my previous mod: Lower Threshold for Parenthood Traits. University students usually don't focus solely on academics, so why should our sims? I decided to make a pack of 7 aspirations that utilize some of the new features that came with the pack, while also focusing on other aspects of a sim's life. While playing around with Discover University I found myself a bit disappointed with the lack of new aspirations and traits that came with the EP.
